Well, pple Anthas the gazhal program is coming up in Xavier’s and the prep's have already started.... heading in full speed ANTHAS features bit of poetry, your singing skills... and lots of fun. Last time our Hindi teacher Dr. Asha had invited the well known Kailash Kher, and this year is yet to be decided by her.
Well this doesnt have strict passes like The MALHAR, but its the one thats for those who like simple and oldies.... well olden golden moments, it makes you forget the past and the future and just majorly live the present and trust me you wont leave unsatisfied.

Yeah, seems like this is a new development in Xaviers.....There used to be only 'JanFest' organised by the IMG when I was in college. This must be a new addition.

Ach. I take it he's a newbie in the world of Hindi Film music....
well hes not really....hes been around for quite a bit but as a music producer/director and not as a singer.
then someone told him he sings well..(a lot more than JUST a nasal twang...its like singing through ur 3rd day of cold) and yep hes been singing since.
the masses love him.
and its sad but he is the "indian rockstar" (he claims to be atleast), considering im a minority, and that most of our population doesnt tire of him even though hes the voice behind almost every other song.

Pallavi, you're definitely not a minority....I am not particularly fond of that nasal twang either. It's pretty irritating.I really fail to see what the masses like in that voice of his.It's downright bugging.
People think that he is the best thing that has happend to hindi film music!
I am not joking.
I have sevral of his worshipers in my class!
sigh! Xaviers was so much cooler!
With respect to the reaction of the masses to Himesh's music, I think it could be a case of, when you hear something over and over again, you end up thinking, "Oh well, if it's being repeated on air so many times, it must be good".......Of course, those with a mind of their own and even half a brain will decide for themselves, that just becoz it's all over the place, doesn't make it good music.
